Eligibility

CPL (Commercial Pilot License)

  • The minimum age to start CPL training is 18 years.
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics.
  • The candidate must obtain a DGCA Class 2 Medical certificate to begin training and a Class 1 Medical certificate before CPL issue.
  • The candidate must pass DGCA theory exams including Air Regulations (aviation rules and procedures), Aviation Meteorology (weather and atmospheric science), Air Navigation (flight planning and navigation), Technical General (aircraft systems and principles), and Technical Specific (type-specific aircraft knowledge).
  • The candidate must complete a minimum of 200 hours of flying including solo, cross-country, instrument, and night flying as per DGCA requirements.
  • The candidate must obtain English Language Proficiency (ELP) endorsement as required by DGCA.

Eligibility

PPL (Private Pilot License)

  • The minimum age to obtain a PPL is 17 years.
  • The candidate must have passed at least 10th standard (Class 10) from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must obtain a DGCA Class 2 Medical certificate.
  • The candidate must pass DGCA theory exams including Air Regulations (aviation rules), Aviation Meteorology (basic weather knowledge), Air Navigation (basic navigation and flight planning), and Technical General (basic aircraft systems and principles).
  • The candidate must complete a minimum of 40 to 60 hours of flying training as per DGCA requirements, including solo and cross-country flying.
  • The candidate must meet English language proficiency (ELP) requirements as specified by DGCA.

ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License)

  • The minimum age to obtain an ATPL is 21 years.
  • The candidate must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA.
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must hold a valid DGCA Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • The candidate must pass DGCA ATPL theory exams including Air Navigation (advanced flight planning and performance), Aviation Meteorology (advanced weather systems and analysis), Air Regulations (aviation law and procedures), Radio Aids and Instruments (navigation aids and instrument systems), and Aircraft and Engines (advanced technical knowledge).
  • The candidate must have completed a minimum of 1500 hours of total flying experience as per DGCA requirements, including specified hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), cross-country, night, and instrument flying.

Assistant Flight Instructor's Rating

  • The candidate must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA.
  • The candidate must hold a valid DGCA Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • The candidate must have completed the minimum flying experience required by DGCA (20 hours patter flying) generally including at least 200 hours total flying time.
  • The candidate must have passed the Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) written examination conducted by DGCA, which includes subjects related to Principles of Instruction and instructional techniques.
  • The candidate must successfully complete the prescribed flying training for AFIR as per DGCA syllabus (20 hours ground class).
  • The candidate must pass oral exam and DGCA assistant Flight Instructor Rating skill test (check ride) with a designated examiner.
  • The candidate must have valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) endorsement as required by DGCA.

Flight Instructor's Rating

  • The candidate must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA.

  • The candidate must have the minimum flying experience prescribed by DGCA, including required hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and as an assistant flying instructor.

  • The candidate must complete the prescribed Flight Instructor training course at a DGCA-approved Flying Training Organization (FTO).
  • The candidate must pass the DGCA Flight Instructor skill test (check ride) conducted by an approved examiner.
  • The candidate must hold valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) endorsement as required by DGCA.
